Mani of the Week - SC Sugar Sugar & KC Red Hot

I am just learning how to 1) do a blog, 2) do manicures and 3) take pix of my manicures.  So bear with me.

This is Sinful Colors "Sugar Sugar" under Kleancolor "Red Hot".  It is the first time I have worn both polishes and I love them both.  This mani has lasted and lasted, almost 2 weeks, with some tipwear.  I have done a little touch up now and then, but it is getting time to change.. I had a mani emergency yesterday with this mani,  This happens when I do a touch up on one or a few nails and don't have the patience to wait for a good dry.  So I get the hated  SMURGE.  Which then results in the dreaded "PEEL IT OFF ALREADY".

As a base coat I use a Sally Hansen nail strengthener (got it at the Dollar Store), then a coat of Elmer's Glue (to help with removal of polish afterwards - it works great!).  Then the first layer is  SC Sugar Sugar. It is a red shimmer that goes on easy with no pulls and one coat does it.  You could add a second, but not really needed.  The red is deep red and beautiful.  Dry time is fairly quick.

KC Red Hot is one of my lemmings that I have wanted for ages.  I found it at a flea market, for $1.00.  Yeah, well I bought a few that day. It is a thick red jelly with small red glitter and large round glitter.  I love it because it has depth and the red makes me feel good.   It is a bit tricky to apply, you have to dip and place.  It is made to be a top coat, as alone, it is too clear.  Dry time is a little longer than usual, but hit it with a quick dry top coat, (I use Out the Door) and you should be fine.   I should have moisturized cuticles before taking pix, sorry gang.
